Getting the Most Out of Your iPhone Battery

If you have an iPhone, it is probably one of your favorite little gizmos; but when it comes to little gizmos, there is nothing more frustrating than ones that have a battery that does not last. And while some people find that the battery on the iPhone lasts just fine, others find that this is not the case for them at all! And so, the question becomes this: How do some people get good battery life out of their iPhone, while others do not?

Firstly, you must keep in mind the fact that – of course – the efficiency of a battery of any kind will depend largely upon usage. If you use your iPhone all throughout the day, you will not get nearly as much life out of your battery as someone will who uses their iPhone sparingly. Even if you use the phone all the time, however, there are some things you can do to optimize battery life.

The biggest thing you can do to optimize the battery life on your iPhone is to lower the brightness of the screen. You should aim to keep your screen as dim as you can, as nothing will drain your battery more quickly than a really bright screen. And even though it might seem like a nuisance at first – to keep your screen really dim – you will actually find that you get used to it very quickly.

Not only does your battery life depend on the amount you use it, but it also depends on the way you use it. When you access the internet using a wireless network, you actually save a lot in battery over using the internet using 3G. Anytime wireless is available, you should use it to access the internet, as this will stretch the life of your battery much further than you could with 3G.

And of course – and this is one of the big things so many people fail to do – you should turn off the screen if you are not using the phone at the moment!

It is not difficult to join that group of people who say their iPhone battery works just fine; all you have to do is follow these few simple tips.
